Dive Superintendent – Lead High-Value Diving Operations

Join Briggs Marine as a full-time, permanently employed Dive Superintendent and play a key leadership role overseeing safe and efficient diving operations across the UK and overseas. This position offers the security of a permanent role while remaining involved in some of the most technically challenging projects in the industry.

You’ll provide operational oversight and guidance across ports, offshore assets, renewables, marine construction, and defence environments — supporting Dive Supervisors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide oversight and assurance of defence diving operations
•    Supervise diving operations under the contract where required
•    Ensure safe planning and execution of all diving activities
•    Support Dive Supervisors and operational teams across projects
•    Review dive plans, risk assessments, and method statements
•    Monitor operational performance and safety compliance

Essential Requirements
•    Recognised commercial diving qualification suitable for UK operations
•    Extensive commercial diving experience, including supervisory roles
•    Demonstrable experience supervising and managing diving operations
•    Strong working knowledge of UK Diving at Work Regulations
•    Current or recent experience within marine construction, ports, offshore, or defence environments
•    Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities
•    Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required

Due to the nature of our defence contracts, applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and be UK nationals. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) or higher. Security vetting will be undertaken prior to any offer of employment, and any employment offered will be conditional upon the successful completion of the required clearance processes.
